During Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Sylvan Grove Hospital has educated the community on the key to fighting breast cancer – early detection through regular mammograms and monthly breast self-exams.

Sylvan Grove employees also recognize the importance of early detection. In fact, 68 Sylvan Grove employees signed pledges to either perform their monthly breast self-exam or encourage their spouse or significant other to do so. Pink ribbons have been tied to the trees in front of the hospital to represent their pledge and bring awareness to this message.
